On the weekends we try to do lots of activities with the whole family together - the kids love Saturdays (they know that day as the first day of the week where Daddy is home all day!) A few weekends ago, we took a hike together at a state park down the street from us - the kids all had so much fun! The day was so hot out, so it was so nice to be in the woods (lots of shade!!) to let them explore and run around.
Why stay on the path when there are cool rocks to climb?

Looks like you had a great time - I can't wait til it cools off a little here - I am thinking we will get bikes for everyone in our family and hit the trails. We also go geocaching!
