Hmmm - so where to begin....
My computer crashed at probably the best time possible - 1 week before we were moving myself and our 3 kids back up to Connecticut from Florida. Without my computer as a distraction (which it can definitely be some days), I was able to get so much packing done :)
We left on a Tuesday evening for our long drive from South Florida to Connecticut with the kids. After my husband's car accident, we were able to get my van back a few days before the big move (thank goodness!). I can't even begin to write about our drive up so I'll just do a quick recap - we left about 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening and drove straight through until 4pm the next day. By then we reached Delaware - we were exhausted so got a hotel room, ate dinner, and all 5 of us were passed out by 7pm!!!! That was the earliest bedtime I think I've had in over 4 years - haha! On Thursday morning we woke up and only had about4-5 hours left before reaching my parents house - yay! The kids were so excited to see their grandparents!
We spent a couple days at my parents, then did another 4 hour drive to my in-laws. We stayed there for a few days and enjoyed my brothers wedding (I'll post some pictures later - I must say, my 2 older kids were adorable as their ring bearer and flower girl!!!). After the wedding, I drove the kids back to my parents and have been there for the past 2 weeks. In the meantime, my hubby had to work in Chicago for a week and then back in Florida for the past week. If all goes well, he should be leaving Florida tomorrow to drive the moving truck with all of our stuff up here. We CANNOT wait to see him!! The kids keep asking when he will be here - although my husband has traveled a lot in the past with work, he has never been away from us for this length of time before. I just can't wait to see their faces when he pulls into my parent's driveway next week!
In the meantime, during these past few weeks, my baby is now crawling like crazy all over my parents house, is pulling herself up on everything she can get her hands on, and loves to walk around the room holding my hands!!! Where has my baby gone?? I just can't believe how fast they all grow up...
Well, it is nice to be back! We should be settling into our own house next week sometime and getting back to our old normal routines. It's funny, because I always read about how kids thrive on having a routine - I don't know about you, but I think Mom's do too!!!!
